How to Follow the Route:
Walking directions for following the route:
The trail is marked by a series of yellow signs. From East End Beach the trail proceeds along the Eastern Promenade Trail to Portland’s Old Port where it joins with the sidewalk. Through a busy waterfront area the trail connects to Harborview Park and onto the Casco Bay Bridge. Across the bridge a ramp leads to Thomas Knight Park, South Portland's waterfront market area, and the South Portland Greenbelt Walkway. The paved greenbelt leads to Bug Light Park. Options for return include the water taxi (207) 879-2562, which should be booked in advance.
