The Salmon Preserve is a beautiful 56 acre forestland teeming with wildlife located at the confluence of the west branch and main branch of the Sheepscot River.The upland portion loops through an open pine forest where spring warblers abound. Look out for POISIN IVY presnt along the river. |

From Wiscasset, take Route 218 noth towards Whitefield. Once in Whitefield, turn left onto Route 126. Follow Route 126 for 1.2 miles and turn right onto Vigue Road (at a hair salon). Take Vigue Road for 1.9 miles to Howe Road and turn right. Take Howe Road for .9 miles across a one-lane bridge and look for the arking area and kiosk on the right. PARKING LOT IS NOT PLOWED IN THE WINTER. |
