East End Beach-on the Eastern Prom section of the trail has swimming, boat launch, picnic area and bathrooms. Bathrooms are available Spring through Fall. The trail loops Back Cove. The option of the Eastern Prom Trail follows the coastline, offering spectacular views of Portland Harbor and Casco Bay.

How to Follow the Route:
Walking directions for following the route:
Begin at the Back Cove Trail parking area and follow the loop trail in either direction for a 3.5 mile walk. For a longer walk, follow the signs to the Eastern Prom Trail which will take you on a path under Tukey's Bridge(I-295) and along the shore for 2 miles to India Street. Retrace your steps to the Back Cove Trail to complete the Back Cove loop.
